ok, am I cursed or something?

I learned today that someone I work with had their condo flooded last night after our company party. I had walked out with him to get our cars from valet, and so I was the last one to see him before he went home.

Here is the history, to why I'm shocked about this event.

My parents home was flooded while I was living there 4 times in the past 2 years.

The last time was due to heavy rain fall and now my parents are out about $10K because of it.

The insurance company said it was an act of God.

My brother and I stayed with my aunt in San Fransisco on our drive down to Los Angeles, and at some time that early evening the hot waer pipe that is attached to her washing machine burst from the wall, flooding a part of her condo.

And then now this last incident, what the hell is going on? Do I carry some sorta curse with me?

Hump Day

Today is Wednesday, middle of the week.
I have just set up my own blog today. So here we are, my very first blog.
I will let you know I made a very exciting turkey meat loaf last night that I am having today for lunch, along with white rice cooked with saffron. mmmmmm
I have also discovered previously diced apples, that are sold in a bag at Trader Joes! Do we love Trader Joes or what. They even sell pure egg whites in a carton!
I guess welcome to LA huh?

For those who don't know me, I just recently moved to sunny Los Angeles from Seattle.
I miss Seattle a lot, but love living in a new place. I could certainly do without the traffic though. To us Seattleites, traffic takes place on a freeway most of the time, here in LA it is from freeways to neighborhoods!!
Someone one explained to me the other day that it's like this; everyone in LA is trying to get to the water - they don't know where it is, but they are trying to get there and are pushing everyone else out of the way. That is Los Angeles drivers for ya!
